MapPit - Mapping software

About the
software:
MapPit
software is a basic mapping facility for the surveyor who work under the
AutoCAD environment. It deals with the basic elements such as measured
points and lines, and also enables advanced editing actions such as spreading
notations along linear elements, rotating measured points along linear
objects, and editing many drawing entities simultaneously.

Three principals guided the design of MapPit
:
-
Automation - MapPit
enables automatic actions in various levels. Starting from automatic
determination of layer, block and visibility of attributes, according to
point type, through automatic lines connection, directly from measured
points file, to complex editing actions such as spreading notations, in
even spaces along linear elements. This automation means a
significant shortening of production time.
-
Control - MapPit includes a set of tools to control the elements of the drawing. Initialization
files, enables the user to determine the appropriate “behavior” for each
type of point or annotation. “smart” selection tools, are used to
select points by properties such as name, height, a range of numbers etc.
Many updating tools are provided, enabling the user to change properties
such as point height, attributes style, visibility etc.
-
Flexibility - All the functionality of MapPit
can be used with various formats, including different codes systems and
block types. By changing the initialization files the program can
adjusted to identify and manipulate various thematic-drawing formats. MapPit
also includes tools for changing the codes system and translating from
one format to another, conserving the maximum amount of drawing data during
that process.
MapPit is
the basic platform for other products by Pitronim T.R.2000 Ltd. including:
Pitron 2.0 - Cadastral software
Contours
- Digital Terrain Modeling
AreaFlex
- Dynamically design lots and areas
The
complete MapPit
package, enables the
surveyor to perform all his tasks inside AutoCAD, in a coherent and easy
to use environment.
Requirements:
MapPit works under AutoCAD
R12, R13, R14, AutoCAD Map and AutoCAD LDD for Windows 95/98/2000 Dos or Windows
NT.
