MapPit & Pitron Installation for AutoCAD
In this page you can download a minimal version of MapPit + Pitron (1.8MB)
or a full version that includes MapPit, Pitron, Contours and additional code
systems (8.5MB).
You can also download here, a patch that will enable
MapPit to work under the IntelliCAD98 (version 1.0d).
You can also download here, a 60 days demo of
the software AreaFlex - Dynamically design lots and areas.
Note: If MapPit is already installed on your computer,
You must backup the complete MapPit Directory before
Installing the downloaded files.

Installation:

Save the
file in a temporary directory (C:\TEMP for example).
|
| 2. |
Run the file you downloaded
(Mapinst.exe or Map11inst.exe) in that directory (this should
extract the installation files into a temporary directory and run
the Setup.exe program). |

If setup was not started Run
setup.exe from the temporary directory
manually. |
| 4. |
Follow the instructions to
install MapPit (use the serial number 1). It
is
highly recommended to use the
original installation directory (C:\MAPPIT)
as
your target location. This
will facilitate the following installation
steps. |
The above steps will create
MapPit folder in your computer.
Follow the steps 5
- 15 to load MapPit into AutoCAD and register it.
To install MapPit for IntelliCAD proceed by clicking here.
Load MapPit into AutoCAD:

Copy your AutoCAD 14
Icon. |

Rename the new Icon
MapPit. |

Right click the MapPit Icon and
choose Properties |

Click the Shortcut pane, and add
in the Target right after the program
name : /p
MapPit |

Click OK button and double click
the new MapPit Icon. This should
start your AutoCAD and
create a new profile named MapPit. |

From the AutoCAD menu choose
[Tools][preferences]. |
| 11. |
Choose the Files pane and press
the small + mark labeled "support files
search path" |
| 12. |
Use the Add button and the Move
up button to add MapPit folder and
MapPit\USR folders to the top of the search
path. if you installed MapPit in
C:\MAPPIT for example, add the folders :
C:\MAPPIT\USR
C:\MAPPIT |

Click Apply button and then Click
the Profiles pane and choose your
preferred Profile as
current. |
| 14. |
Leave the AutoCAD and double
click the MapPit icon again. This time
the MapPit application will be loaded into
AutoCAD and you would see the
registration dialog, in which you will be required to provide
key2. |

Call us to get this
key.
Notice: the keys will change each time you'll
start the application, so
you
must call us while the registration dialog is
activated.

Inside AutoCAD type the command
"pitmenu". This will load MapPit menu and
toolbar. |
This installation process creates a separate Icon and separate profile
for
MapPit, it assure minimal danger of damaging
other applications settings.

Installing MapPit for IntelliCAD (ver 1.0d):
Download:
Click the download button to download
MapPit & Pitron pach for IntelliCAD98.

Installation:

If MapPit is not
installed on your computer, Download and install (Minimal or Full version) acoording to the
above instructions.
If MapPit for Intellicad is already installed on
your computer, Run the pach file to update your MapPit into IntelliCAD.

Save the pach file in temporary directory (C:\TEMP for example).

| 3. |
Run the file you downloaded
(mappit-icad.exe) in that directory and extract the MapPit for
IntelliCAD files into the directory "icad" under your MapPit directory
(usually C:\MapPit).

Follow the instructions below to
combine MapPit into the IntelliCAD evironment.

The above steps will create MapPit\icad
folder in your computer.

- 15 to load MapPit into IntelliCAD and register it.
Load MapPit into IntelliCAD:

Start IntelliCAD and choose from
the IntelliCAD menu [Tools][Options]. This start the
"Options" dialog-box.

In the "Search path"
edit box add the following: c:\mappit\icad;c:\mappit\usr;c:\mappit
Then click [OK] button and start a new
drawing (use the "new" command inside the IntelliCAD).

In the new drawing, the MapPit
application will be loaded and you would see the registration
dialog, in which you will be required to provide key2.

command "menuload". This will open the
"MenuLoad" dialog-box.

Click the [Import] button and
choose the file pit_sub.mnu from the mappit\icad directory (usually
c:\mappit\icad\pit_sub.mnu). make sure to chack the "Append to
current menu" CheckBox !
This will
load the MapPit, Pitron and Contours menus into the IntelliCAD.

Inside IntelliCAD type the
command "menuload" again. This will open the
"MenuLoad" dialog-box.

In the "Toolbars" pane,
click the [Import] button and choose the same pit_sub.mnu file from
the mappit\icad directory. make sure to chack the "Append to
existing toolbars" CheckBox !
This
will load the MapPit toolbar into the
IntelliCAD.

AreaFlex Download
Requirements:
AreaFlex
works under AutoCAD R14 and up.
Download:

Installation:
1. After downloading the file AreaFlex.zip.
2. Extract this file into c:\temp directory.
3. Run the file : Setup.exe
This will extract the directory c:\Flex into your Hard disk.
4. Run AutoCAD.
5. In AutoCAD 14 Go to -- Tools -- Preferences / In AutoCAD 2000 and up Go to -- Tools -- options (menu in AutoCAD)
6. go to files and open the first option : support file search path
7. Add line: c:\Flex
8. Mark this line and by clicking the button "Move Up" move this line to be the first line.
9. Click Applay and then O.K .
10. Close AutoCAD
11. Run AutoCAD
12. load the AreaFlex - In the command line bar write this line:
(load "flex")
13. To load the Flex menu type in the command bar:
flexmenu

NOTE: under the Flex directory you can find a Tutorial drawing (Flex\Tutorial\FlexDemo1.dwg).
This is a good example for testing the AreaFlex utitlties.
